Rebuilding of the castle of Isenburg, Offenbach/MainThe castle of Isenburg was finished in 1572. Dissolved in an ornament of figures and emblems, its southern front ranks as one of the most fascinating examples of renaissance in Germany. Besides, it is the landmark of the city of Offenbach and is classified as an historical monument. The upper storeys were rebuilt to be used as studios. The ground floor, originally used as a church space, now harbours events and exhibitions of the city’s college. A small cafe/restaurant is opened to the public.
